Nokia has been releasing a new group of wild and wacky mobile phones every few months, and Nokia have broken the mould with this one. The latest GSM and WCDMA equipped mobile phone is the Nokia 7600. The Nokia 7600 mobile phone is targeted at business users and has all the latest technology crammed into such a small mobile phone. A 65K colour screen, tri-band functionality (GSM 900/1800), WCDMA, VGA camera with digital zoom, and a video recorder are just some of the features available at your disposal on the Nokia 7600. Connectivity is one of the main features of the Nokia 7600 and it seems to be one of the most futuristic and most exciting mobile phones to be released in 2004. Nokia has included GPRS, Bluetooth, infra-red, a USB port and Pop-Pot connectivity in the Nokia 7600 mobile phone. More impressive is the connectivity software, which includes an integrated email client, SSL security, a mobile VPN client, and an advanced XHTML client. The Nokia wallet application has also been included, allowing online mobile phone payments and the storage of private information in a secure format. The Nokia 7600 mobile phone is based on the second edition of the Nokia Series 60 platform and will use the Symbian 7.0 operating system (very user friendly). Users will be able to install applications for the Symbian operating system, or by using the newly updated Java MIDP 2.0 technology. The Nokia 7600 will have 29MB of dynamic memory for storing ringtones, images, messages, multimedia and other formats such as 3GPP videos. The Nokia 7600's integrated camera can be used for still image capture or video capture (audio also supported) and features multitasking support so that you can take and send pictures at the same time. The onboard VGA camera has a resolution of 640x480 pixels, putting it on par with most other new release mobile phones. The Nokia 7600 is one of the first Nokia mobile phones to use a large 65K colour screen, like the new Nokia 6600. Previous Nokia mobile phones have been a class behind with a 4K colour screen. The added colours make taking and viewing pictures a better experience by far. On the video side, users can capture video clips with audio, and send or receive them, as well as having access to Real Video and 3GPP video streaming. Streaming can be available over GPRS and HCSD. Another first for Nokia is the use of user-selectable themes, such as those found in Sony Ericsson mobile phones. Polyphonic ringtones and True Tones, similar to the tones in the Nokia 3300 mobile phone, are also available. For more information on the Nokia 7600 visit SIM Free Phones. |
